Hi all, hope you can help. My Porsche dealer has replaced the discs and pads on the front of my car due to some strange pedal clunks I was getting whilst driving but my car has now warped 2 sets of discs with the same symptoms returning.
When I'm braking at low speed the pedal will go down about 3/4 of the way and then clunk and go down again? The garage diagnosed this as requiring new discs and pads. The first set were replaced when this symptom returned and I was told they were warped but now the symptoms have returned again? At a recent track day the vibration through the front brakes go to so bad I had to stop and limp home. Has anyone had anything similar before I start replacing ABS pumps and master cylinders etc as well as getting the discs changed yet again? Thanks, Neil. ![]()

Not normal! Let's start with what you know. Identify pads, rotors by brand. When was fluid changed. What type of fluid?
How many miles on the car? What service history can you tell us about? I think you're getting pad transfer to the rotor which feels like warped disks. The good rotors don't warp easily. As far as pedal travel goes, you could have a bad bleed with trapped air or need a master cylinder.

The pedal issue definitely sounds more fluid / cylinder / ABS pump related.

Hi there, pads and discs are all original Porsche parts from my local Porsche specialist? All the fluid was replaced st the same time. I've had the car for 18 months and it has a full service history?

What year? Moisture in the booster could cause pedal sticking. Early cars, 99-2001? Had boosters that could get water contamination if the cowl drains got clogged.
