Bandwagon alert! It's not an SC or Carrera or early 911, so it's the devil!

I don't think Mike was particularly blasting the Cayenne, just the idiot behind the wheel. Some people think that "certain" vehicles give them additional road-going rights. It doesn't matter to me whether it's a Porsche or a Yugo, a lack of courtesy to fellow motorists is the issue.

Embs got it right. But, you've got to admit that the Cayenne factor just adds to the moronathon going on with that guy. I mean, all he needs is a pair of clown shoes to make the whole thing gel ... lol ... clown shoes and a Porsche SUV, now that's a sight to see.

Reminds me of the old Gary Larson "Farside" cartoon.
Picture from the observation deck of a Nuclear Power plant. Supervisor says: "What does that clown think he's doing?", as a clown strolls across the control room.

Oh, don't get me wrong - I'm as anti-SUV-as-a-daily-driver-unless-you-have-an-obvious-need as they get - but it's just the "thing" to do around here - slam the Cayenne and 996. Shrug. It's a normal part of any internet community I think - clowning the big guy. In this case, Corporate Porsche.

I am not coming at you MIKEZ, just giving you all something to think about. I HATE it when you come to an intersection and your lane has no lines but is wide enough to have 2 cars next to each other. In an ideal world, if the driver plans to go left or straight, he would move as far left as he could. This allows a driver to get buy and turn right on red if nothing is coming. However, some idiots sit right in the middle of the lane with no turn signal on. With the way people almost never signal now days, you have no clue what they are doing. It ticks me off if they are going straight or turning left because if they would have moved over 3 feet you could turn right and not have to sit wait for them. I have a little Civic and many times I can get bye the guy sitting in the middle of the lane. So last week I slide buy an SUV and try to turn right. The guy hits his horn and yells "what the hell are you doing". I look up suprised and he yells "next time wait your turn". I yell back "if you are turning then next time use your signal". That got me the finger. So MIKEZ, the guy is a jerk either way for giving the finger, but were you all the way in your lane and did you have your signal on.

We were all the way over and the signal was on.....There could not have been more than 18 inches between my door and the curb.....what got my attention was him revving the motor with with the brake on......

reminds me of driving in Korea for the first time a few years back. I kept noticing that drivers crossing a single-lane (and a narrow lane at that) intersection straight ahead would crowd the center line something awful. I kept thinking "what, are they trying to intimidate oncoming traffic or something?" and then noticed that other drivers now could pass and turn right without having to wait for the light to change. I thought, "how cool! y'd never see that in the U.S!" in general, I found that drivers in Korea are much more aggressive and expedient than their American counterparts. which really begs the question "then why the hell do they drive like molasses courses through their veins when they come here!?!?"

well, then maybe he was busy listening to his 'Smokey and the Bandit' soundtrack?
My wife wants an SUV (again). If we could afford a Cayenne, I would actually like to have an S. I sat in one recently, impressive! |

"He is too Rude" V. Lenin was talking about Stalin, but he could have been talking about 90% of the drivers I encounter on the road today. My wife thinks they are just clueless and don't realize how inept they appear, but the ones that speed up when you pass them, brake when you catch up behind them or move right when you want to turn right next to them are making conscious decisions that are just plain rude. I think it might be a generational issue, or it is just the boom crowd and their children.
The solution I have found for the aggressive drivers who like to tailgate and finger is to join the NRA for a year just to get the membership sticker for your back window. The thought that you may be armed and dangerous (especially with DV plates) does seem to remind people that you may be as ****ed up as they are and armed to the teeth as well.
