Did you see what it takes to change the starter

The starter is under the fuel injection and the cooling tubes in the center of the Vee..thats got to be some hours labor.

Yes it is.

Fortunately, I have only replaced them after coolant tubes have puked coolant into starters.
Failing without the influence of coolant, not very common.

I can see it..eventually.
Yes, coolant leakage from the plastic pipes does tend to damage the starter.

btw, the plastic pipes in question are where that aluminum casting of three are, right? (we're looking at the updated version?)

Yes, that is a Cayenne we had to update.
Underneath the aluminum casting is another main pipe that requires replacing too.
