I tried and tried, could not get it to work. I gave up. Following the thread in case someone comes up with a solution.

Going faster all the time

On my particular garage door, I needed to push the code on the drive unit as part of the process.
It took a little patience (trying more than once), but eventually, following the manual, it worked.

I too gave up for same reasons, I think I'll try pushing drive unit control as well.

I finally figured out how to program the door opener on my 2009 CS. It was a two step process. First, I had to teach the transmitter in the car the frequency of the door opener by simultaneously pressing the button on the remote that came with the opener and the button in the car that I wanted to program. I had to get the remote fairly close to the button I was programming to get it to recognize it. It confirmed that it learned it by changing from blinking slowly to blinking fast. These are the procedure steps in the Porsche Owner's manual.
The next step, which wasn't in the manual, was to get the door opener to recognize the car transmitter. To do this, I followed the garage door opener manual to "teach" a remote. I have a Liftmaster jackshaft opener, so I pressed the the "program" button on the side of the master controller, then pressed the button in the car I wanted programmed. This worked with my setup; hope it helps someone else and saves them the time it took me to figure out how to do it! |

Got it to worked following recommendation by Wbyonder, thanks...works great now. The key was the missing process steps not listed in the manual. Best Regards.

I bought my Cayenne last March and tried for hours to get that stupid thing to work. I finally gave up.
I saw this post a few days ago and this morning I gave it another go with the instructions above. It worked! I installed new batteries into the remote since it didn't seem to work programming it to the button (light never flashed rapidly). Then continued with the instructions above and it finally works! So glad to have that clicker off the visor. Thanks! |

I'm glad it's helping. I hated having the remote on the visor when the Cayenne had a built-in that should be working.

I guess I'll have to try that. I couldn't get mine to work either so gave up and stuck the remote up on the visor.
