Driver side Door Alignment
Well, I noticed today my driver side door is leaning downward on my Cayenne S. Anyone have this issue and what was done? Thank you.
When I shut my door it takes a little more push to get it to close on it's own.

Let me ask this again in a different way:
Can the door be adjusted through the hinges or do I need to replace something? If adjustable, can someone please guide on the do's and don'ts. Thanks.

Your not the only one with that problem! I've had that problem for a while now too and I'm going to dissect it this Saturday and will provide photos and hopefully an answer to our dilemma.

Mine was a bit saggy, so I shimmed behind the bottom hinge to bring it up.

Hi guys, any update on a fix, I understand the shim approach but I'd like to know MrFlip's outcome. Pictures would be great of any work done.
My next project is addressing the fuel smell by replacing the fuel filter/cover and both fuel pumps.

The doors can be adjusted at the hinge but outcome depends on the cause.

It's not uncommon to require shimming at some point... for some reason. You can either buy some shims from the dealer, or just use regular old washers. I used washers and it worked PERFECTLY for both front doors that required it on my 08 GTS. All you need to do is undo the lower hinge on the side of the door itself, and place washers of whatever thickness between the door and hinge mount plate. Use washers that are the proper thickness needed to line the door up just right - just try thin ones first, see how it shuts, then thicker, etc. Pretty easy to do; takes just a few minutes. Worth doing so you don't kill the weatherstripping and require its replacement.

Thank you Garrett, I'll give it a shot. How did you support the door without flexing or damaging the bottom door seal? Thanks.

You bet... I used a jack on the flat part of the underside of the door (not the outer edge sheet metal).

You can gauge the needed shim thickness by measuring the existing offset (trim line mismatch) and then use a shim about half that thickness. --the exact ratio is the distance between the hinges vs the length of the door. ..maybe it's 2/3.
