Tiptronic
Justified or not, I am imagining they probably cost a little less than a stick. I just saw a 2004 Carrera (base) with tip. The car has 70k and is selling for $22.5. Whether that is a good price or not, how much more would a stick fetch typically?
It wouldn't bother me, I wouldn't mind the convenience. |

I don't follow the 996 carrera market, but on 996 turbos tippy is usually a 15 to 20 percent discount.

would say 20 - 30% discount on a tip. + for sure harder to resell.

To me they are worth less. I also have wondered if IMS issues are spread equally over all 996's or if the TIP has a slightly better success rate. I've AX a modded Boxster S tip and found it quite nice to not worry about shifting.. not PDK quick but not bad either. I would also say that there seems to be small rebound in prices for 996's as they at nearly 20 years old, are likely near the bottom of their depreciation curve if they are not abused.
