What's a solid '76 912E coupe roller worth?

Have a project car that I just cant get motivated to get running.
Bought her as a numbers matching running car, but she had some issues that needed sorting.
So I started the restoration, but just dont feel like working on the car anymore.
Currently sits as a roller with engine and tranny on a stand.
Tranny was grinding in 2nd and 3rd so wanted to rebuild before I put back in.
No rust, beautiful bitter chocolate paint, nice bright trim, all new SC brakes, recovered brown seats, etc...
Engine has 4% leakdown.

Consider selling as roller or with engine/tranny.

What is value on roller?
On car with engine/tranny loosely installed?

Crappy pics:

That's an awesome looking 912. I would say $16K, because anyone with half a mind is going to do that car right. Even if they did it right with doing the trans, all fuel lines, clutch, and the rest of the money items it's going to run $5K-$7K and that's them doing it themselves.

I wish I found such a nice car with such nice paint when I got in because my paint blows. At this point I would rather probably have the Type IV engine just so I could be out driving my car for crying out loud. As you know a P/C set is easily $3K ++ for a 911, and a Type IV probably a 10th of that.

It looks like a great car, and I also admire you for moving on and admitting that you don't want to do it and that time is more valuable to you right now. For someone this car could be a gem.

Thanks Sal.
So I'd probably be better off just sitting on it and finish the work?
Maybe I'll start chipping away at her a couple times a month.

It's worth more as a numbers matching 912e than as a roller and an engine.

I agree with Sal on pricing - ~$16k for the lot, "loosely installed"

IMO worth spending a few bucks & a few hours cleaning tank and replacing fuel lines and selling as a running, driving, numbers-matching car with 2nd/3rd grind (disclosed in sale ad, or course). A weekends worth of work for another ~$4k in asking price.
.. But I totally understand offloading as-is. Can't buy motivation.

Why not? If it's paid for and it's close. To me the mechanical work is easy - it's the body and paint the discourages me. But with that paint and body so nice it would probably take a nice clay bar and wax - once you got it up to speed mechanically it would be pretty sweet and you'd get more money. But in the end you'd probably keep it.

Whatever you want to do, but like Matt says I would not split it.

I kinda want to keep her, but she is competing with a '74 bug and a '65 mustang. Mustang is a keeper, and the bug just isnt worth enough to try to sell. So this one has to go.

Had a couple of $16k offers for her as is, but I have $27k in her and not willing to take that big of a loss. Put her up for $20k obo, and really hoping for low $20s. We'll see!!
