hard to find 997.1 with the aero option for sale
Hi.
Looking for advice. 2007/2008 997 with the aerokit seems to be really hard to find. Was this a very limited production vehicle in the US? I hate to have to buy the aero OE front bumper/air dam and rear wing and have them fitted to a C4S. The hip width on a 997S is the same as a 997 carrerra, correct? should I be looking somewhere other than PP classified, cargurus and autotrader? maybe I should pay attention to rennlist classifeds.. I just sold my 911 S '06 Aerokit 2 weeks ago - I had it advertised on Rennlist, here on Pelican and on Craigslist as well. The buyer saw it on Rennlist. I think at the time - mine was one of two Aerokit's for sale in the country. I don't have data handy for the number of Aerokit optioned cars sold, but I do believe it was a rather low number. It was a $6500 option based on my car sticker.
There is no difference in the body from the S and the base model. I don't believe the Aerokit bumper is available any longer from Porsche - I recall someone on Rennlist indicating it is NLA.

I checked with a buddy who owns a body shop in tampa and he said I'm looking at $3k in parts and $3k in fitment/paint to put the front bumper and rear ducktail on an S. suncoast porsche is still advertising the front bumper... I would opt for a getty/mashaw ducktail for the rear. DL |
