i have a good idea what i think the car is worth, just wanted hear everyone sound off on theirs.

at $25K i’d consider moving on parts and all. $20K or less and i’ll just sit on it until i have time to build it...
Might as well set on it. It's not like you don't have a big azz half empty shop to keep it in.
Plus when the dust settles and you are looking for another 74 to build you'll be kicking yourself for selling this one. Pre-emissions cars in this state are gold.

I've had my 74 for over a year now. And I probably won't start on it for another year.
Damn Kids taking up all my time...

Always the one to one up, I've had my car for a couple of years and with the acquisition of the teener mine will likely sit for a couple more.

well i guess your half right - im new here but an old guy )

i don't discount the wealth of knowledge thats accumulated here and i also
dont mind admitting im a 911 novice never owned one just looking around seeing what its about and contemplating - i think the market passed me by to be honest
kind of a shame because the more they are worth the harder for me to justify a purchase as i would like to daily drive it

anyway i search old completed ebay listings to get a feel for the market
i guess ebay is a pretty good indication of whats selling and whats not

Why would someone forward date the bumperetts (sp?)? The fact those are changed with the added whale tale and respray makes me suspect a rear accident.
Good comp.

just checked one out of similar condition /price

man thats alot of money love the car but jeez idk

i bring that smelly thing home for 25k ...cold start it up....and the last thing i see is my wife coming through a cloud of oil smoke with a steak knife in each hand

after (if) i recover i can tell her (in a text) that it needs a 15k dollar engine rebuild from a "reputable" mechanic

hey what happens if the rod goes through my magnesium case 6 months after the rebuild ?
does the re-builder pull 15k out of his account and give it back to me ?

or does he say bring it in we will look at

"""we took the engine apart and the damage is consistent with an over rev condition see the pictures ?
whoever drove this thing missed a shift ...what you wanna do ? """

people talk about rebuilding the engines in these things like its a walk in the park but anytime you split the case open there is that risk involved
