Pmax - I thought the consensus was that Hagerty's valuations are a bit inflated, especially considering the softening market generally.
I'm of the mind that if there are a few significant things that don't add up - and there were plenty on this one - then there are likely a number of other unseen/hidden aspects that wouldn't pass muster either. This car was supposedly owned by the seller since '87, and even from the limited number of responses and comments he offered, it was pretty apparent he knew very little about this car or pcars in general. It just didn't feel right by a long shot, which is why I was out above $50K and ended up not bidding at all. |

^^^ Ditto, Except I was out completely. If I was looking for a unique car to drive somewhere in the high $40s would be my number too.
But I don't have the space to store or the money to waste on a car that doesn't check all the boxes. If the right all original car in a good color comes along, that I can afford, I'll get it. This one would be a waste of space.
