74 Outlaw
New to the air cooled world. Wanted to get your thoughts on this car:
https://www.porschefresno.com/used/Porsche/1974-Porsche-911-f2f58fd40a0e0ae923444241f10a84f4.htm Looks overpriced. What do you guys think this is worth? |

Good buddy of mine had a deposit down and agreement to buy that car. It was somewhere just shy of 100k if I remember correctly. He was buying it sight unseen and when he pressed them on build details and paperwork found a few inconsistencies he was not happy with. The dealer and him decided to mutually part ways and he got his deposit back.
Now I am in no way saying that the dealer did not accurately represent the car. Basically he was just not satisfied enough to buy the car sight unseen so walked. I have heard a lot of good things about the dealer. So long answer to your question is I believe you could buy that car for about 99-100k. What it is worth is hard to say but I seriously doubt you could build similar yourself for less than 125. I believe it was stated that car has about 200k in it. |

it's got one of those stubby front short hood IROC bumpers that was discussed recently.

This car has been listed on rennlist for a while: https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-marketplace/1129713-74-arrow-blue-outlaw-with-993-3-6l-est-340hp.html It was sold at auction shortly before this dealer offered it, iirc. Here's the auction listing: https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/az19/arizona/lots/r0048-1974-porsche-911-outlaw/726426
For what they have into it, their asking price seems quite reasonable. Market value is another question, but if the build checks out, it's worth every penny. It even has a G50 transmission. Thorough PPI required, especially at that price. Take it to the best, most anal tech you can find. But if it checks out, buy buy buy. Last edited by BLACK3.2; 06-07-2019 at 03:14 PM.. |

You couldn't build it for that. The gearbox has over $10k of my trinkets in it. It's not one of Accumoto's in house cars, but they had a lot to do with putting it together. Here's a piece about the cars they've been building there. Lots of similarities:

Wow the accumotos def have lots of similarities. Amazing cars!
Wondering, if it's priced well, why it hasn't sold yet? Any thoughts? Here are the more detailed documents: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/mobile/folders/1-2A2zhYkPTl8rp-SP2F0bJM4KBKcTDAw?usp=sharing Will def get a thorough PPI. Thank you everyone for the input. My opinion is 98% of Porsche followers are scared to be different. If they had just done a backdate body the car would fetch their price and then some. But they put custom backdated bumpers that don’t look like anything else. Even I like the front, but don’t 100% like the back. (Softball for Raw) None Porsche people love my car. Porsche purists do not. I got a horn honked at me with some guy pumping his thumb down a week or so ago. Probably because of the gold RSR wheels. I’m sure the guy has a 912. i was at that dealership last month to look at a 911E for some buyers in texas. i gave this car a good once over as i'm currently building a '74 myself.
overall a pretty nice build, but there are a few things that i didn't like. that rear bumper is awkward, especially on a short hood. the license plate panel comes almost flush with the deck lid. personal tastes aside, the ask seems high for what i saw. nice car, but not $110K nice in my book. the guys at the dealership were very cool. i think they are buying aircooled cars at auction and trying to sell them at a slight profit so they can maintain an aircooled inventory at the dealership. they have some nice cars there. the 911E sold at auction (pcarmarketplace i think?) for a bit more than they paid, and they did some work to it. not sure they made any money on it...

Not a traditional / period correct type of build. Track focused styling and full cage is probably scaring people off. Definitely looks like a lot of time and money went into it though. If it's your thing and everything checks out go for it. Probably a handful to drive while pushing it on the streets.

340 horses out of a chip and exhaust on a 3.6? Really?
Whichever brand of Fuchs replicas they used look odd. Car strikes a pose for sure. No way to reproduce it for $100k

Looks like a decent custom build, but IMHO the reason for the lack of buyers is likely due to the fact it’s a conversion from a Targa to a coupe.
