Rusnak said it best (response in bold):
Per Suga-britches: 911 people are awful. There, I said it. They're just bad people. Like the time I took the admittedly ****ty beater 944 to the local Porsche club meetup right near my house, and pretty much the only thing any 911 person said to me was "hey your car is leaking coolant, you need to clean that up." Which it was a little, but he didn't offer to help, didn't offer a diagnosis, just said it to be a dick. "Honestly, the 928 people were a hell of a lot nicer and more fun to talk to. They seemed actually into working on their cars and aware of all the weirdnesses and quirks about them. I kinda want to buy Panamera 4 just to take it to PCA gatherings to annoy the 911 dickheads. "Yeah, it's ugly. Yeah, it has four doors. Still goes around a track faster than your garage queen forum princess, and it's driveable in snow with four sets of skis inside. It also cost less than a clutch rebuild for a checkbook mechanic like you. Eat my cock." Also, it's just 911 guys who have this level of dickbaggery. I can't think of any other car that engenders this level of A-holeness in its owners. Every other car has its share of fans and posters who are simply stupid, ill-informed, clueless, or wrong, but none that I am aware of has this many self-righteous A-holess. The Rover forums are filled with people who frankly shouldn't own used expensive cars because they have no idea what they're doing, but they're not dicks about their cluelessness." So your friend with the "beater 944" expects "awful 911 people" (your words) to help him actually fix his car and to also offer diagnosis on his water leak. I think that's hilarious. You're just a 40 to 50 year old troll who likes to stir up drama with your incessant and divisive posts. You do this on several car forums, not just here (Rennlist, 6-speed online, and the Honda S2000 forum), and you say you want to show up at PCA gatherings with a Panamera just to annoy their members? And you hate the people on the Rover forums because they "have no idea what they are doing, are clueless, and they should not own their car of choice..... But wait, there is more: By your own post, you expect strangers to offer rides to a FLAPS to buy new parts, lest they be called an "awful", "judgmental" person by you, and in your mind they should also by the way hunger for your cock? I think you have a whole knot of issues that you need to work out. You really seem miserable, and intent on spreading your misery to others. |
And he wonders why he was never invited to a pizza and beer type install fest.

my pops' club has a hard time getting towns to let them take over a downtown area for the car shows that they all likes so bad. a big puddle of coolant is just another reason for them to not be invited back. coolant kills puppies. |
I've been kicking around the internet investigating towns to live in/near in Oregon. One place had listed on their city page that they are proud to be the home for Oregon's PT Cruiser club.
Next. Drive through please... |

You will only have them in town from May to October. Then they will all hitch up the PT to the RV and head to Arizona. I've only been to Shady Cove and a couple Day trips to Bend. I love the Bend area. Beautiful valley between Bend and Sisters that is surrounded by Mountains and the Three Sisters Peaks. But it's not as secluded like your place is now. The suburbs and tourist areas are all close by. A short drive and you are in the country though. We're going to Pat's Acres up near Portland in July for a Race. It will be my first time that far North on I5. Maybe I'll take the 3.0L and drop it off with Jeff. That will force my hand with the 74. :D |

Looks fabulous! Great views, great car! I also have a 69E. Sorry, mine is a Sportomatic. If it matters though, my BTR III Ruf has a G 50, 6 speed with LSD. bernie |
It is very fun, with the 40% LSD it is easy to spin sideways with the car. The 911 is to be used all seasons, now the Alps in Austria is closed cause of Covid so probably ski season will be lost this year.
