What is this worth? RUF 930 front valance

Hey guys, I have a RUF front valance, in polyurethane, that was on my slant nose when I bought it. I took it off the car when I went to standard 930 front fenders.

This is how it looked when I bought it:

I am interested in selling the valance but have not seen one for sale in a long time. I want to price it fairly so I was hoping you might have some insight as to its value.

I was told they are no longer available from RUF, but when they were last offered for sale they were in excess of $3,000. I would be selling it with the grille and the fog lights included.

Here are some photos I took today:

The condition is very good overall, with no chips or cracks. There is some scuffing, as expected, under the front lip.

Any clues to what I should ask for it? Thanks in advance for your help.

To a RUF collector who needs to replace their damaged one, or wants to pick up a spare, it’s worth far more than that. You can’t even buy a knock off for $250-500, here’s a listing for $700 for a RUF style front valance, meaning it’s a copy. This RUF piece should have a comma in the asking price.

I would LOVE to have this. I would rip it out Of your hands at $500, although I’m sure it’s worth more given it’s rarity

These are great front valance. I have one on my 1976 930 and love it. Paid close to $1000 for it about seven years ago. This valance, plus the fog lights, should run about $1000 to $1500 easily. The front of this valance is about an inch lower than the factory eliminating the need to lower the front below euro spec so you still have full suspension travel, plus they will not crack like fiberglass pieces.

Best of luck to the seller,

Rahl

Looks like a nice piece. I would pay 1500 today only because I have a BTR clone and it would be nice to have a spare.

Like someone above said, lots of people putting cars back to stock so the market may be limited.

The 3rd grade grammar is so tough to look at when you know you're (not your) communicating with an adult, and it's (not its) everywhere too. Or should I say to (LoL), that one is wrong half the time as well. How about when someone talks about losing something, the majority of the time you see it written on the internet they write (not right) loose. How many times do you see guys posting threads about putting their (not there or they're) Porsche on a diet because they want it to loose weight. You can loosen your belt when you lose weight, but you can't losen you're belt when you loose weight. Which makes one wonder if some even know how to pronounce words properly as well, cause when spoken loose and lose are quite different even though their and there sound the same.

If R. Kelly can make millions without the ability to read or write, I guess it's (not its) possible to get by with less than stellar grammar.

Stay in school kids. Oh, and stay away from R. Kelly as well.

I have to admit, I was never great at English grammar growing up in school. I couldn't listen and it was like Algebra which I couldn't get. I was always dumbfounded about what x or y was, not to mention z. Furthermore while Miss Fabri was writing on the black board, her ass was shaking like something I couldn't take my eyes off of in JHS. HS was no different. Then it was just peering on the trim in the room via classmates.

Later in life I did make it through college. Years later Grad school M. Ed. TESOL (Temple University Japan). I'm still not a grammar master, but I am a serious pronunciation and project learning teacher. I just can't feature Japanese bastardizing our language via pronunciation. I think I'm making a difference in the world, just not the world where you live. Hell, one of my daughter's friends moved to the USA, said on Mathematics what they were studying in HS was like what they learn here in early JHS or Late Elementary school. It was that distant on years. So kids, try not to stare at ass so much. Take a book home once in a while!

Wouldn't have said anything about the grammar if he wasn't so off the mark on the value.

I was just trying to get a bite out of the raw man, and I did! Hee hee! No harm done. I don't have any political views myself over there. In fact, I've never voted in my life. Don't punch me either for that. It's still the Wild West! Walmart shot up in Texas, same day Ohio gets a dose of the same. How is my vote gonna change things? I ain't there, so I'll just let y'all figure it out. Over her I'm not allowed to vote. I'm quite happy about that too!

Anyway, dude sold the RUF valence, so we might leave the thread be, congrats on the sale!

Catch you on the rebound Ronnie!
