I'm yet to see a set of those you can bolt a knock-off to, I kind of like the knock-off's.

Prices on rust free cars in southern California are holding firm

Here are the patch panels that came out of my A coupe. It was the cheapest A driver I could find http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1579580132.jpg

prices are now holding firm in Vancouver - following a bit of a drop, last year.

Prices are dropping in Earnest? What about prices out of Earnest?
Tom Swift said he was feeling gay, but he was only half in Earnest.

Good analysis and results from AZ, but you’ll need FB to read it.

Only 4 Porsches mentioned in his list.
Bonhams had 11 including an RS that stalled at $520,000.
'79 Turbo for $97K
'71 T for $72K
'89 Speedster $123K
'76 Turbo $84K

RM did sell a '76 914 for $53,200. They had 13 cars
The Turbos were no where near what they sold for in '14-'15

I was more impressed with the Gooding results. 11 Friday and 13 on Saturday.
David seems to get good cars at all venues.:D

A '79 SC Targa went over estimates and sold for $123,200. Of course the 914/6 GT hit it out of the park at $995,000!

Matt Monson 01-21-2020 07:48 AM

Yes, only 4, but it points out that the supply problem is market wide. There’s a lot of crud being offered right now. Top cars will still being top dollar and an absence of good #2 cars on offer leads to more poor sales results all around because sellers of 3s are reaching and dreaming.

This low mile Venetian Blue 87 Carrera did well.

$99K

Believe Matt M is right on.
With new Porsche over $100k don’t believe most buyers want a very average car needing something....
When it needs something , it needs a lot.
Really great original, low miles and not needing anything bring strong money.
Restored to a fine level still bring top dollars.

I'm here in Vancouver as well, not many air cooled 3.2's for sale here in town, that I can see anyway other than the targa on CL and the one that ran through BAT but didn't complete in the Fall out of Deep Cove. It seems that sellers here don't really advertise and most cars trade through repair shops or word of mouth. That's how I bought mine in 2016 then plowed a truck load of money into it.

I've both a SC and 3.2 but am just waiting for the spring to list. Not many quality cars listed the past 4 months, if at all.

Not where I'd sell a car. To much chaff mixed in.

yup. few tired ones on craig's .... have sat there forever.
folks certainly squabble over nice air cooled units - i have that on good authority.
the big bucks folks in town? sky's the limit for perfection. Alex @ Eurosport has an '88. as perfect and original as humanly possible - he says people basically beg him to sell it. name your price sorta thing. it was his first Japanese import (of many) - he let it go once - was fortunate enough to get it back. never again, he says ...... i tried. haha.
the dealer on Boundary ( https://www.companyofcars.com/ ) - those cars have sat for months. (perhaps) slightly overpriced? tiptronics, usually .......

Corcars (same guy on boundary) had an 88 when I was looking but my slate grey 89 came up so I snapped it up. Mine is a local car sold at mcl originally and it's been great. I havent seen that other 88 but I do get a lot of interest in my car locally. There was the cassis one in port moody but i do not know if it sold. He wanted very strong money, like 65k cdn. Everything is expensive in Vancouver!
