I can't quite say. It only brings back some memories of the great recession here before prices went up a few years later. Had a chance to buy a Slantnose all original for 60k. It had all tags written in Arabic, so I had a dear old friend from Morocco come read them all to find out what they said. Never bought it, but should have. If I remember correctly, there was a slot for storage for an Uzzi (gun). The worst part of it was it was chocolate brown, very disgusting color at the time and in a trough.

I'd rather see them build an (affordable) lightweight the editors of Panorama were dreaming about in the last edition.

Is this going to turn into a 914 thread?

Yes, but a modern one with modern chassis and engine.

987 Spyder is about as close as you’re going to get to a lightweight modern Porsche. Go drive one if you haven’t already. I know it’s not current but it’s modern enough and has the perfect amount of power/handling for the street.

As far as Flauchbaugh, I love the older ones but this one looks like it’s trying too hard. It will also probably have some obscene price tag associated with it and limited production numbers so not accessible to everyone.

Will they hype it for six months, put it under VIP program so it appears to be unobtainable and then have an MSRP of 300+ with dealers adding 50-100K on top of that for the privileged of buying the one allocation????

Feels like every six months, Porsche is making a special model. So much hype on the 2019 speedster-9 of them for sale on Ebay now with prices at MSRP after people were paying the 50-100K dealership premium six - eight months ago.

Yep. The fastest deprecation you’ll ever see is on the mark ups over MSRP, these ‘limited edition gotta have its‘ are for those with far more dollars than sense. And it’s probably the same guys that keep getting burnt playing the same game too, you’d think they’d learn their lesson after their first 6 figure loss.

It's not a real car. Nor will it ever be. Some dude made the photo in his basement with Photoshop. It's an internet thing. It has nothing to do with Porsche.

Marine Blue, that’s nowhere near the same. For starters, no pop up headlights.

The article says pop up headlights are now illegal? If that's true it will never be a true "flachbau" imo
