Would you still get a ppi if dealing with a dealership
I am negotiating on a vehicle from a company in NC. This from ther website:
"While we sell cars of all calibers, we often specialize in cars that are unique, hard to find, and highly sought after. We specialize in European models from Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche. Every car that is sold from Godspeed Motors is backed by a combination of over 100 years of experience in the car industry. We have high expectations for every car we buy and sell. Our passion for quality is what ensures every buyer that he is getting what he pays for. We have sold thousands of cars and are very intentional about doing things the “right” way. We service our cars with integrity and feel very confident that Godspeed Motors has some of the nicest, well maintained, high quality cars out there. Every car gets a 120+ point inspection, an average of 10 hours of service, approximately $1,000 in repairs, and an average of 8 hours spent on detailing and reconditioning."

Yes. Hendrick Porsche is in Charlotte. Ask to have Jim Button do the inspection.

Their description of their high standards and utmost attention to detail sounds like every other dealership selling cars - what would you expect them to say?
Definitely get a PPI.

It's just a standard fee they use to mark up the car. Every used car I've ever bought from a dealer had a $600-1000 refurbishment fee. You'd be surprised how many people see the monthly payment they want, don't review every line item on the contract, and pay an extra $1000 for a car. It's like the used car version of the "delivery fee" all dealers charge on new.

Definitely yes. I've been substantially more screwed by reputable dealers than any private party deal.

PPI always- more so when dealing with a dealership. Get recommendations from local P-car guys as to where to go and then go talk to that shop and make sure they will be looking at the things that concern you. Good luck.
