1970 911S S/R Coupe Rusty Roller
I am looking to to see what others think this rusty roller is worth...
1970 911S sunroof coupe. Originally Bahia Red. At some point in the past someone installed FG rear turbo flares, front FG turbo flared front fenders and apron and painted it white. The car has a rusty front suspension pan, front floor pan, doors, C pillar base, Driver's side inner rocker, area where rear sway mounts on left and right and roof. Rear seat pan and torsion tube are ok. Driver's FG fender was damaged so replaced with a stock steel fender. No motor. What I assume is the original 911/01 and oil cooler are present along with window glasss and frames, gauges and wiring. Car has a title. Now I'll try to load pics.... Thanks in advance... Everything is repairable given time and money!
IMHO, the most important structural part on early 911's is the rear torsion tube. Value is highly dependent on that. If it's cracked on that car, given the poor condition and missing engine, I'd sell it for parts. $10K worth of parts? Is the decklid aluminum? It should be. Those used to be $1K, probably 2 or 3 times that now. Ok... after re-reading, the torsion tube is ok. Worth $15K? I wouldn't pay that but someone else might pay more! Transaxle should be type 911, not 901. |
