Market value for a set of 73 Carrera RS Fuchs, date 6/73 (6&7x15)

Was wondering what a set like these are worth these days? They are sitting in a friends barn, all dates are matching, excellent condition, with blue painted centers. He might consider selling, I am just here to help. Any suggestions (as well as wanted messages) are appreciated!

I think to an owner of an RS w/ inappropriately dated wheels they would be worth multiples of a similar wheels.

I would auction on BaT for maximum value and market exposure.

A pair of 16 X7&9 sold for $12,xxx. Yours have much greater value.

Well, given that a pair of 1968 sport seats went for $27,000 on BAT yesterday, I’d say toss them on the site and be ready to have enough cheddar to buy a 2nd home.

Totally wacko.

I had a set of those seats. They were cores that I sold for $3500 in 2008, and I thought that was all the money.

Do the 6/73 wheels use a 3 prong or ring center cap? I assumed 6/73 wheels were used on 1974 cars.

7/73 is the cut over to ring center caps. You’ll see both three prong and ring center Fuchs with 7/73 dates.

6/73 would be date correct for a third series Carrera RS.

My July 1973 911 came with 6x15, 6/73 Fuchs, and used 3 prong caps.
I wonder though, how would you differentiate a set of 6x15 Fuchs like mine from a set of RS Fuchs?

6" No difference

@ESully

No difference on the 6" Fuchs except 6/73 is quite late for an RS. Third series ended in 6/73 so the latest dates for original RS 6 & 7 Fuchs might be March or April 1973.
