Nobody cares is an idiomatic expression in common usage. Nobody cares that you run marathons. Nobody cares that you built a 10 second car. Nobody cares. It’s like meh or whatever. You’ve been away from America too long.

Perhaps there is a logical explanation like the car looks like a porforauto candidate. If not, I'm curious how one low balls a friend in need and doesn't see any issues with it. Posting the offer on the internet and then taking offense at criticism is another head scratcher. Sometimes there is no explanation for human behavior.

Perhaps we have a duo thick skulled Matt thing going here I'll try to put it into eighth grade English to avoid the accusations and ignorance on price, negotiations, culture and friendship.

First of all for the Canuck. I am a dual national, got my citizenship 1.5 years ago automatic since DOB because my parents born and raised were Canadian when I was born in the USA. I'm a Canuck now so I won't hold it against you!

Since Y'all are so damn serious, can't read between any lines I'll explain a few things but not much. I need to leave room for your education on such concepts.

Dude is a foreign car restorer, got cars all over the place Porsche 911, Ferrari, a whole warehouse of 911 parts, 964 and lots of engines. No way I could pull the wool over his eyes. If he sells me the car for that money will you be pissed off? He may counter offer, but just so you don't go off post, this is still hypothetical. You can scratch your head until you go bald! Don't assume you know everything about every market or culture. Your petty flipper accusations don't add up to dry dung. We are friends and that won't change. This is just business if you hadn't noticed, and Oh, just a price thread on a project car possibility. It will take time and money to get it going. That's MY time and the PARTS cost quite a bit of MONEY. Think that through you thick sculls...

Just an otherwise ulterior question on 911T. Would delete sunroof or slick lid be higher for value than a sunroof.

The 73 RS touring model I had 20 years ago had a sunroof. #101. I have to dig for these pics I took on this 73T. I think it has one, but can't recall. I would guess value on a car wouldn't be that different, but how about desirability?

For when you flip it?

Slicktop is an easier sale with a little more value.

Good info Matt! Thanks for that! Just an investment idea, not a flip. If I take it on it will take me a long time to get it up to speed. I was thinking of that song, why can't we be friends, but bed time for me and going to the mountains early in the morning. Why don't you post the song?

I think early sunroof cars are more desirable - and when you get into G body cars the sunroof deletes become more desirable.

There was no sunroof delete for the '73.. Either Coupe or Sunroof Coupe. Sunroof Coupe being more desirable value wise because it was,,,,,an option. Fairly rare on the early cars. Don't know the exact numbers.

'Slick top' God I hate that douchey, flat bro brim term... BAT Bros, LOL

Fed income! That's Aussie lingo which just means no sh-t! or Right! (just in case I threw you for a loop). I haven't been on another Porsche forum, only PPMF I'm pretty confined to. I learned, first heard both of those terms here, say from Toby and others, so I thought it was in lexicon. Thanks for clearing that up! Thank you for the cool feedback.... and it sounds right!

This could be a really good sub-forum. It's obviously an interesting subject for anyone with an aircooled 911. It is not a place to spend enjoyable time for two reasons.

1) Matt Monson has decided this is His Place.
2) 911 Heaven argues badly with the above.

Both of you need to shut up and give this forum some breathing space. IMO.

That's a great call Matt! I completely agree! Let's do it and play that song -- Why can we be friends? I will shut up and do my part. Cheers!

This is hilarious. Some random who has spent the last twenty years lurking instead of participating in the forum tells Bernie to shut up, in his own thread, and Bern’s response is ,”yes boss, right away boss.”

Now that is funny! Keeping up foreign relations like Mav and Goose? This community, the discourse community is international if you hadn't noticed. Take a lesson from a well rounded honest Kiwi. He speaks his mind. He is just honest by observation. I honor his opinion.

Now that is sad... That's like learning all about Porsche from a 914 guy, LOL.

You should get out more.

You do you Matt. I can post whenever I choose. I see a common pattern in your replies, Sir, and occasionally I post a response. Glad that you see fit to respond to a Random.
