I assume you mean the 2.7 being matching numbers? Or the slantnose?

If the 2.7 is matching numbers, I guess it depends on your goals. If I was going to build a car and keep long term, swapping the motor out wouldn’t bother me. If you’re a constant buy/build/sell kinda guy I think it does make sense to keep matching numbers.

In a way, it’s already bastardized with the flares (in a good way, imo) and getting a better motor in it increases value of a car like that as opposed to devaluing.

Sorry, I have the sickness right now, longing for a project, so I’m living vicariously through you.

Haha it's all good! All valid points.

Both cars have their original motor to the best of my knowledge.

I will definitely think this one over!

Decisions

You can probably get as many opinions as responses……but we all have learned cars sitting for a long time is not a good thing.
My opinion for the 2 cents it’s worth would be to establish your end game….which ones would you find most appealing then dump the others. The amount of $$ and time to achieve should probably factor into decision.
My thinking is slope not so popular these days……..so that would probably top the list unless restoring it to standard coupe could make it a nice ride. Before I am done I could make a case for all but how many do you want in the end.
Time for house means no time for cars…..and house trumps cars.
Good luck with fun decision.

Anyone with 4 project cars is an undisciplined impulsive hoarder
Stop buying half baked junk until you can actually finish something you start.
Sell all 4 and get an SUV

Probably less than renting out the garage for storage space!
For most, Social media is not a side hustle, but a cringey delusion.

Stop justifying your hoarder issues with your pretend social media profits

Agreed, I've since decided on my end goal over the last few weeks I've had off.

I got the slant nose running and that's as far as I'm taking the car.

"Seen this many times before" same here.. 😂

House has been fully remodeled and moved into since.

912 went bye bye to get into the better driver quality '82 Targa.

Oh wait and I got the '82 Slantnose also.. so it must have been a 2 for 1 deal?

New year, same old ignorant Shugie! Making assumption without knowing any details what's so ever.

I'd rather be entertained by your delusionality so feel free to let your imagination run wild! Lol

I don't rent any garage space haha

Shugie is the kingpin of the older generation social media haters 😂
That now sit on their phones longer and more distracted than the younger generation.

Can't stand the thought of people making a living from their cell phone posting videos online because they actually have a personality that people like instead of being an old prick that trolls others having fun.

Hey Shugiewoogie try to stay positive this year and spend time where it counts. Hopefully none of your family or great grand kids post on social media Wouldn't want to disown them!

"Social media wah wah I'm mad at world"

I agree there are millions of cringe social media people and videos but I don't spend my time trolling them due to my own insecurities. Get it how ya live! Can't be mad that someone found a way to make money, even if it might look stupid online. They can laugh there way to the bank.

"Finish one project start to finish before you buy/start the next"

That is the stupidest advice I've heard from anyone.

Imagine any business actually doing that... no chance it would go anywhere.

My full time position I currently manage 10+ custom equipment build projects we are working on while keeping tabs on completed projects already in the field. I should probably tell my boss we need to STOP and focus all time, resources, and $ on one till we are done and thennn start number two... LOL good one.

Anyway, I got the slantnose started and it will be up for grabs, already have several potential buyers lined up.

You can't make angry and rude people happy. They will just latch onto the next negative thing they can roll with. "Wah wah your'e a flipper, why did you sell the slantnose so fast, don't buy a car you can't restore with your own two feet" blah blah nothing new.

Happy New Year

Oh yea - sorry to burst your bubble Shugie but the SUV has already been acquired.. started.. and finished.. while still hoarding the 4 projects.. and starting ..and finishing the house.
