Targa Roof Rack - Value
I recently acquired a factory Porsche targa roof rack in NOS condition with a lot of the hardware still in sealed bags. It wasn’t necessarily something I was seeking out, but it was a “buy it now or never see it again” type situation. Having played around with the idea of a roof rack on my targa for years, I know that they’re pretty rare. Anyway, upon reflection, I’m not sure that this is something that’s really a need for me. What would a fair value be for this? Is it worth contacting Bring A Trailer given the condition?
The part number is 911.801.055.60 |

Hey Matt, it’s not much to look at in pieces with hardware bagged, but it’s the model seen in the first post of this thread still in the factory box (which does show some age).
https://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/69461-targa-roof-rack.html The pieces show now damage and have glossy paint. My first impression is that any NLA 911 part in NOS condition carries a premium, but this doesn’t really have a “classic” look to it - much more utilitarian - so not sure how that might affect value. Carbone makes an alternative targa rack that has more of a vintage look, but it’s also almost $2k. |
