79 SC 3.0 (TL) How much?

I'm thinking about selling my 911, this is a project that's about 80% done. Unfortunately, family and work is the way.

1979 SC (turbo look) steel fenders
New Paint (guards red) (I still need to bring it back to the shop for wet sand)
whale tale from 89 turbo with 3rd brake light.
all wheather strips and rubbers parts are new!
new tires
new carpet
seats have been recovered (vinyl)
dashboard overlay
new headlights / fog/driving lights
comes with the spoiler pictured and stock 80's valance
3.0 engine runs good (not sure about when it was last serviced)
will be serviced before selling.
5 spd transmission is OK (sometimes hard to shift)

Issues:
Not original paint/color
Not an original M491, but work is first rate! no trace of welds.
No a/c compressor
battery acid damage on battery tray
Unknown milage due to prev owner changing the speedo

anybody have an idea on whats its worth? Now, I know that SC's are selling from 9k to about 15k depends on the condition.

let me know what you think

Well...

Its not a real turbo (and original '79 US spec turbos are $22-35K depending upon condition and origonality.

It's not a "correct" '79 SC which can run from $8k-$18K

So. now the pricing is all up in the air.

There is no such thing as an '89SC as you mention that is what the tail is from. I assume a type happened here.

As an SC, you don't mention mileage or accurate condition of the motor (compression or leakdown numbers would help here)

Is the Guards red paint orginal? Can you spot the original cover in places like door jams, engine compartment etc?

I assume the car has "SC" brakes, despite the flares and larger rims?

I would price it no more than 10K. I just don't see much "value" to the car given so many unknowns as well as its non-original like condition/appearance.

hey guys thanks for the input. I was thinking of the same price range. 10-15k.

Now I said 15k because the car is in the shop now. Just depends what he says the condition of the engine and what needs to be done.

It was a typo, that's suppose to say 89 Turbo w/3rd brake light.

Yes the brakes are SC despite wider rims.

I'll have some more information and update as soon as I get it back from the shop.

Thanks!
