nice!

I am no expert, but my instincts would say it could pull $30K + in the current market. Maybe throw it up on Ebay once & see what develops... Ebay has its faults but at least it'll give some advertising exposure if nothing else.. do a 9-day auction, start bidding at $10K, set a reserve. Ron- what is that factory paint color?

Thanks for the advice. What should I look out for if I put it on Ebay? The color is a red that I liked better than Porsche's as it has less orange. It's close to a Ferrari red that I knew once. Thanks again. Ron

Ronald,
I think you should also post on the early911Sregistry forums to get their opinions as well, but I would also say 30k+.

I think the next issue of Excellence will have B Anderson's latest early 911 market update, if you can wait a month...

Of course, not everyone agrees with those #s (some say they are too low) either, but it will be interesting to compare with the early 2007 market update.

Ronald,
First of all, do NOT sell it if you ever want to have an early car again, as you will likely never find one as good this in the marketplace, unless going for crazy money. Sports Car Market 2008 price guide for a 69 - 71 911E Targa is 22,000 to 37,000, investment grade B, with cars fully priced in the current market.

I would say your car would be at the top of this range, only mark against is a non original, non Porsche paint color (excellent color & workmanship help, but this market is crazy for original paint color for some reason..??)

So if it were me doing the selling, I would put it back to as original condition as possible, i.e. mirrors, horn grilles, emblems, door pockets if you have them. Then I would be asking close to $40,000, and negotiate to find an owner I would be happy about adopting my baby for a bit less than that...
