993 values

What can one expect to pay for a good clean 993 coupe?

Are there differences from year to year?

Thanks,

Greg

Main price difference is between the narrow body and the wide body (S). Everything else depends on condition and miles more than anything else. You'll be hard pressed to get something under 30k that is really nice. But the 30-40k range will be an area where you will find tons of nice cars to choose from.

If you tell us a bit more what you are looking for in terms of mileage and year, that would help.

George

We have been in the mkt for a 993 for the last 3 months. Here are my observations.

Cabriolet and tips are cheaper than manual+coupe models
Black cars are easier to find than any other colors.
Average mileage is around 50-60k
I have not found anything cheaper than $32-33k for a car that we could be interested in.
C2S and C4S command a high premium over narrow bodies with prices in the high $40s (50k miles) and mid $50s for a 30-50k miles car.
People don't make much difference between 95s (non V-ram) and 96-98(V-ram but CEL potential problem).
Lower miles cars command a hefty premium.
Non stock cars are difficult to value. Most desirable mods are suspensions. PSS9 are top, H&R springs and Bilstein revalved (or Sport or HD) shocks are second.
We have found a 20k miles car and we are having a PPI done on it this week. It's completely stock but we paid top $$$ for a car that is supposed to be in mint condition.
It is not easy to find the right car.
