Whats a fair value of 3.6 complete with all the cables, computer, muffler, etc. out of a running car?
The same but a 3.0? What is the best investment for the money?

Which 3.6L?
1) 964 3.6L 2) 993 NON Vram 3.6L 3) 993 Vram 3.6L 4) 996 3.6l ( ![]() All comes down to condition (mileage) and if stock or not. The first 2 are likely $6-9k A Vram a bit more A stock 3.0L with CIS is maybe $4-5K Clearly a newer (stock) motor will provide more power and torque, but will need a lot more "adaptor" bits to fit into an SC. Steve Timmins (Not sure of his website -I think he lives in Delaware or South NJ) does 3.6l conversion for various cars and has a rough price list of the work and parts needed for such a conversion. Might be a helpful reference.

Thank you guys. I'm in the middle of a possible trade. Now I feel more comfortable. Engine is a 993 non vram. It is installed in the donor car right now and comes complete out of it. Mine is a 1978 3.0 also complete and installed in my car.
Lets see how much is the turn around($$$)
