Whats this stuff worth? ?
What would all the parts required to do a carb conversion to a 3.0L engine be worth?
I have a pair of weber 40 IDA-3c weber carbs in good condition, I recently cleaned the carbs and replaced all the gaskets. Throttle shafts should be fine as well. All throttle linkage is included, rain hats, air filter, fuel pressure regulator, everything. Also included with the carbs is a complete electromotive HPV-1 crankfire ignition setup. Which includes coil packs, trigger wheel, sensor, plug wires, o2 computer that goes inside the car (original part of an 80 sc), wiring from o2 computer to engine bay, I have the fuse box panel from the engine compartment as well. Any ideas on the value of all that stuff? Everything is in good working order. The carbs would have to be tuned though. Here are the current settings on the carbs: Mains: 140 Emulsion tubes: F3 Air correction Jet: 160 Jet Holder: 60 I'm not sure about the idles I made an incorrect note somewhere but I think they are 150's Pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Any ballpark figures on what this is worth? Thanks, Rich

Hey Rich, I may be interested if you do come up with a price...BTW, did you get that ducktail mounted yet?

I have the duck on the back of the car, but not fitted yet. Since Hershey I've just been working on wiring the barn for lights, doing yard work, and studying.
I was thinking of putting an add out for the carbs and electromotive crankfire ignition at $2500, and seeing what kind of interest came up. Maybe that is a little high, or maybe it is a little low, I'm just not sure. The nice thing is that it is a complete kit from top to bottom. The only thing anyone would need to finish the project is a block-off plate for the distributor hole, which would probably cost less than $10. Then the buyer of my stuff could sell their CIS injection for $350 to $400, sell their distributor for probably $100 or more, sell the CDI for $100. After selling those parts a complete conversion to carbs would set someone back less than $2000. Which is $1300 less than a complete set of 40 PMO's alone. I'm not saying my setup is as good as a new set of PMO's I'm just using them as a comparison. Anyone have thoughts on that rationality?

Rich,
I sold that same Electromotive setup about a month ago for about $600 to include the coil packs (low time), all wiring, trigger wheel, chisel sensor, brackets, etc. What is the model number.....TE3? You can get a CNC'd aluminum plug with necessary O-ring for the removed distributor via lotuspbc.com in Cerritos, CA.

Any chance you want to sell the K&N stuff on it's own. I am looking for the water shields, bottom plates and filters. Let me know and if so...How much?
