Value added as a roller in lieu of shell + parts.
911 project that was taken completely apart for media cleaning / rust repair which was done but nothing put back together. Opinions on added value % ok, as a roller compared to tub + parts appreciated. 99.9% of the original parts WERE there when I disassembled, car is 69S coupe. Thank you.

Work in Progress
|
I think this is more a moral decision than a financial one, at least it would be for me. A 69S is a very special car anymore and is deserving of being put back together, in my opinion. If I could afford it I would buy it as is and drag it up to Durango.
If it is not a moral decision and simply a financial one. You will probably do better parting it out. The only issue is that it is a lot of work, and not fun work at that. I parted out an SC this past spring, you bought the headlights from me. The boxing, shipping, picture taking, the emails, are very time consuming and costly. I sold a lot of my car at the Hershey swap meet, so I avoided some of that. New Mexico doesn't have an event anywhere close to that, at least not one I know of. So you would be spending a lot of time looking for big boxes, packing peanuts, taking pictures of every little detail, 911S parts buyers are going to be picky buyers too. If it is worth the hassel in the end you will make more selling it in parts. That car is probably worth a lot just as it sits today. You might get someone who offered a pretty penny for it as is, with out parting it out or putting it back together. I wish I could afford a project like that, and I'm sure you will be able to find someone who can. Best wishes, Rich

Hello Rich, yes sir I purchased the H1's from you, I have them looking good. It's not my intention to part it, I'm well aware of the PITA that is just as you stated. It's also to nice to part. I was after what I would be looking at % wise if I sold as a roller in lieu of a pile of parts. I'm deep into my 67 resto with a 66 in the wings for my sons 'R' project and have no plans or motivation to do anything with the 69, I has already been stored for 10 years 'in primer Luke

Sell as components in that case. You will get a bundle either way.

Mark,
I am located in Denver and would like to talk with you if you are interested in putting together a rough roller. I am looking to build/buy a vintage racer to race here in RMVR and your 69 might be a possibility. Thanks, Sam samjepperson@yahoo.com |
