what is the value of very nice but un-original 1969 911E?

The car is gorgeous. It has been re-sprayed (show quality) from its original color of bahama yellow to black. It's never had any rust or collisions.

It's has a later model 2.4 that's bumped to 2.7 in it and lost it's original MFI too. It has a 901 5spd trans.

It has some later model seats that will have to be replaced but other than that any mods made are period correct (RS Door panels, duck tail)

The hydro-pneumatic struts have been replaced w/ Bilstein HD/Sport combo. larger T-bars 21-27 I think or maybe a step down ...can't remember right now. and 5.5x15 fuchs.

Original S- Brakes.

I'd plan on replacing the seats with some repro period correct sport seats, lose the ducktail and go with a traditional look for the fuchs.

So, What's it worth?

Any idea what model the 2.4 motor is out of? With original type seats & depending on the carb set-up, I would think $19 - $20K.

The long hood market is very hot and I think evergreen is close to what the value might be. It's all about originality, condition and, to a degree, provenance. The car you describe has lost its original color, original motor, original MFI, original interior, original deck lid, and original suspension (actually a "good thing" IMO.) More than likely, the engine is a T, not an E, and if so, the car is basically a nicely appointed T as far as the "market" is concerned. Check the engine--if it is an E, then the value goes up accordingly.

There is currently a 71T listed on the "for sale" forum that looks good and is offered at 19.5. If the car you describe is mechanically sound, I would say it's comparable but worth a bit less due to the interior and exterior mods (but then, I prefer the original look.) Just my subjective opinion.

The car is more than mechanically sound. It is in tip top shape. The engine is a 73.5 CIS motor that's been bumped to 2.7 and has an increase in compression and a tad hotter cam.

I'd prefer it if it were a 2.0 E in bahama yellow but like you L.J says the long hood market is hot right now. It is hard to find an all original rust free example these days. I suppose if it were all original with it's original color due to the nice condition of this car it would be closer to 30K...

How much should I offer? What would be a "good deal" and what would be an dis-respectful offer?

Cheers.

$20K would be a fair offer.
