Value of deep 6 set?

Wonder what the market rate is for these. I've seen them for sale mostly needing a re-finish or as incomplete sets. Prices are hard to pin down.

The set of four wheels up for discussion are all from 1969. They have the hearts. Caps and lugs. They have just been refinished to stock by Harvey Weidman.

Thanks,

I'd like to know that as well, I have a set on their way back from Al Reed. I had planned on putting them on my 912, but I could sell them and fund a good portion of my project.

I'd say a set of refinished deep sixes is worth $2500-3000 maybe more to someone that needs a date matched set to finish off a high dollar resto.

Matched sets that need refinishing seem to fetch just under $2000, so I'd agree with Phil on the refinished set.

A freshly restored set, not sure about the dates matching, recently sold on another site for upwards of $3,000.

I'm having mine restored soon and won't feel even a little concerned about the cost to do so.

I got mine back from Al last week, all I can say is WOW! It would take a pretty sweet offer to pry them out of my hands. They are date matched 10/68 with hearts. They were pretty rough, but now they look showroom new. Al really is an artist.
