Price Check for a '72 T 915 gearbox
I have a gearbox condition unknown that came out of a '72T that had been parked in a field for years.
I bought it to have as a spare but am considering selling off some stuff to fund a project. What's it worth?

4 or 5 speed? When I was rebuilding mine, I looked into the cost of just buying a replacement one. $1500-2000 was the going price for a freshly rebuilt 915. Mine's a 4-speed, which means the idea of selling it to purchase a new one was dead in the water - no market for a used, non-rebuilt 4-speed 915.
I was quoted $1000 and $2000 from 2 local shops for labour to rebuild mine, and parts are anywhere from $100-$1000 depending on what needs to be replaced. In my case, parts were about $500. So $2K minus $1K labour and $500 parts = $500.
