I thought it went for close to asking, but I have been wrong before. :(

Let's look closer at the Tangerine car....

A 1973 T Non Sunroof Coupe converted to R Gruppe Style Hot Rod by Jeff Gamroth, ex Tom Wilkinson car. 3 inches of complete documentation of every build detail. Factory Tangerine color (2323). 2.7 Mechanical Fuel injected RS spec Motor (7R case) with RS MFI Pump. 4 Factory 911 R wheels on 195/60 F and 215/60 R Yokohamas. Gearbox also built by Jeff Gamroth with Quaffi LSD with Wevo shifter. Paint is exceptional and car is in concour condition. Bilstein HD shocks with 21mm front and 27 mm rear drilled torsion bars. Upgraded SC brakes with cool kit. Interior contains RS Lightweight style carpet and door panels with ST seats, vinyl with cord inserts. 10K tach with Momo steering wheel with correct (vintage) Momo hub. Absolutely NO rust and car is in perfect mechanical condition .

est. 220hp 2.7L w/ RS MFI Pump
7Rs
5 spd w/ Quaffi LSD & Wevo
Exceptional Paint
Highly worked
sorted

Again, not at liberty to disclose numbers.. however the asking price was a bit optimistic in my opinion.. and both buyer and seller came were able to agree on a meeting of the mind$.

One thing's for sure, the Tangerine Dream is being used and enjoyed as intended. Attached pic of car in route to Tech Tactics last weekend hosted by Farnbacher Loles.

I would like to..........

The Tangerine car looks downright cheap when you compare it to this one.

Yeah, not to mention the build quality/components of Tangerine car are so well thought out. It's old skool cool.

Where-as the Aston offered car is nice.. but it's just kind-of-a bolt together build on a 70 chassis. Don't get me wrong, as ther is nothing wrong with a nice 3.2 upgrade.

For $114k, that car still needs a bit of finishing. Engine comp not detailed, ride height needs adjustment, hate the roll bar mounted to the floor pan,, and I'm not sure that carbon fiber dash insert is working for me either.

Hey, but that's just me.
