PPI & Service options in Boulder

I live in Boulder, Colorado and am in the process of looking for an SC or maybe a 3.2. I have looked periodically at several examples over the past year and a half, but none screamed at me to buy them and, anyway, I was busy enjoying my 1973 twin-Weber BMW 2002 until I finally decided to sell it. I shipped it off to its new owner today, and now the hunt for the right 911 begins in earnest....

I will be able to do a lot of the maintenance myself but would like to know of some respected shops in the Boulder and Denver area to perform the mandatory PPI or to utilize for those future jobs that may require some arcane, expensive Porsche tool to complete. Obviously I've heard of Storz, Eisenbuds, Prestige, etc. I've also briefly checked out Carquip and Boulder Autowerks. First of all, is there any widely respected Porsche mechanic in Boulder? If not, which of the Denver shops is astute and timely? After all, if I'm going to pay a shop big bucks to do the work, I surely expect them to get the job done quicker--and in some cases better--than I could. Otherwise, why bother paying for the labor?

I missed out on last weekend's Canyon Run and Coffee & Cars get-togethers, but look forward to them in the future as either an info-scavenger or a participant.

Cheers,

John

Randy at Boulder Autowerks 6270 Arapahoe Rd. Suite #4 303-413-0118
I'd stay away from the other shop in Boulder.

Shops in the Denver area include; Eurosport Ltd., Eurosport, DART, and Storz to name a few.

Eurosport Ltd. - Untitled Document
Eurosport - Eurosportauto Auto
DART - Service - Repair :: OEM Auto Parts for Porsche, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Mini Cooper :: Performance Car Parts & Accessories :: Dart Auto :: DARTauto.com
Storz Garage - no website that I could find

I personally took my 88' 911 and now take my 83' 930 to Eurosport Ltd. I have found them to be great to work with.

Yeah, I went by and talked with Randy and he seems like a pretty good guy. Thanks for the local endorsement.

Another vote for Randy, he is the only guy I let touch my Carrera... Plus he drives a 77 hot rod 3.2 and a 930. He's the real deal.

Forza,
I don't know if Randy told you, but he's got a black SC that he just put on the market. I saw it parked in front of the shop this morning. He bought it a few months back with some issues, repaired them and is reselling it. Might be worth looking at...
