value of 1990 964

Hello, I am looking for some help. What would be the value of a 1990 911 (964) widebody with 115k with a bad engine. It is otherwise a very clean car with a clear carfax. Interior and body look great. Thanks,
Bill

One just sold last week for $5000. It was narrow body C4 roller (no engine).

Is yours factory wide body? C4 or C2? What's wrong with the engine? My guess would be somwhere $6-7k.
Running examples in poor shape sell for $8000-11000.

It is a C4 and I am pretty sure it is factory wide body. I am not yet sure what the engine problem is yet. I am trying to decide what to offer the owner for it.

If it's factory Turbo Look, it may be worth a bit more. I think they built only about 700 of them, so nice onces are collectible. I have seen them advertised for mid 20-low 30k (low miles, perfect condition). Figure out what will engine repair cost you and take it from there.

Its my recollection that, for US consumption, the "turbo look" 964 was not available till at least '92 and it may have been later (93-94) to use up the "extra" turbo bodies since turbos weren't selling.

While it could be a "special wishes" type car, I imagine it isn't. Since most people don't replace fenders on a 911, I would be suspicious of previous accident damage and someone taking advantage to convert the car over at that point.

Define "bad engine".. as in needs a complete reseal? Figure $5-6K in motor work at minimum.

There was no factory turbo look coupe until 1994 and that was for the C4 only. There was NO C2 wide body coupe sold in the US in the 964 series unless it was a turbo. Oh and there were no 1990 turbos sold in the US either.
