Value of a 76-77 Carrera 3.0?

Knowing these were a Euro only model - does anyone have some insight as to what a 3.0 Carrera price range might be? good car, matching numbers.

Thanks
Andrew M

I would expect the same or slightly less than an early SC . Many euro cars didnt have AC,sunroofs 16 in wheels etc. I know many here would prefer the lightweigt stripped version but they are grey market cars none the less and a used car valuation would likely lower it,s value for those reasons.

I guess we will have a benchmark of sorts soon as I've posted mine on eBay:

Porsche : 911: eBay Motors (item 170541485514 end time Sep-26-10 13:00:00 PDT)

Oddly, yes.
I have RS flares on my 70 track car and parked side by side, the Carrera 3.0 flares are the same as later SC flares. I guess they made the change for the new Carrera 3.0 model in Europe and it continued on to the SC everywhere.

Regards,
Andrew M

The flares are the same as on the '74 Euro Carrera 2.7
Values on the Carrera 3.0 in Europe are well above the SC.
Top condition around 40k euros.

I've always found that kind of funny. What I mean is that I personally would rather have a Carrera 3.0 and would consider it a more desirable car than an SC. But here in the states any time one comes up there's all this chatter about it being a grey market car and not worth as much as a US car and mostly what I think is rubbish. It's the same with grey market 930s.

I think the day when that grey market idea goes out the window completely is going to come and come pretty soon. With all the trading of these cars back and forth across the ocean and there being more than a few cars we never got in the states that are in Europe, people will start paying a premium for the unique ones. This idea of "grey market" will vanish and they will just be collectible vintage Porsches.

Seems very odd to me over here.
Surely doesn't apply to the '73 2.7RS

Nope. The RS is the exception.
