Your opinion on value
Howdy, i am looking at a 1982 911 sc targa 84k miles, with a factory tail, black, black leather, no rust on body, was orig, gray, paint is a 7, but will buff out rub out to a 9 good, no dings dents, has bbs gold-silver wheels that are very nice tires are at 50%, targa top is tight but headliner is loose, seat are not ripped-torn,but faded, entire int. will clean up great, looks to be lowered a hair, p.o. said tens. done, but car needs a "warm up-idle control" cost is about $2000 to be done he states, underside is very rust free, some drips under engine. wondering what you boys think would be a high figure and a low figure, owning these before i know how a $2000 fix becomes $4000 real quick

undocumented mileage is meaningless. it takes an amateur 30 seconds to change speedometers (odometers) in these cars. if the mileage is documented, and a PPI checks out (not hidden issue like broken head studs), I'd say $11.5, give or take $1k. I guess he means the WUR (warm up regulator).

After some digging, i find this is a true one owner car, with all serv. records back to 1991. has been stored, owner cannot drive the car so the family is selling it after they do the warm up valve!
