Original Fuchs for Reproductions

Hello everybody,
Just wanted some input on a trade I have been offered. I have 4 original 6" Fuchs that are in pretty good condition. I have been offered 4 brand new (2 of each) 7's and 8's but they are reproductions. They are very good reproductions and I would keep my original caps to put onto them. We would trade straight across without any cash exchange. Just wondering if this is a good trade both ways or if I should look around for some originals.

Your Fuchs are worth, say, $800. The repros cost around $1K new and are worth about $7-800 used if they are the better repros (there are some terrible Chinese repros that don't look correct).

Your Fuchs are forged wheels, the fakes are.....I'm guessing, cast?

Don't ask yourself what looks better, but instead ask yourself what "is" better.

I would keep one set of 6s and sell the other set to try to get some originals.
A few years ago, 6s were in high demand for those that wanted lindsey 3 piece wheels. Now maybe not so much. Still worth a try.

A forged wheel is better than any repro, imo.
