Another Ebay Scam
Put my 85 Cab on ebay and thought I had it sold. Price was reasonable but buyer had no history. I thought well someone just signed up to buy the car. First communication is they are on a boat in France and can only send paypal. I didn't like that so I called Ebay and Paypal. They both said it appeared safe to continue. So sent an email where to send funds and the next one I get back they want to send extra then have me Western Union the extra to the pick up guy. No friggin way was I going to do that. Got back to ebay and paypal and turned them in.
Offered the car to second place bidder but haven't heard anything yet. Just wanted to remind people to be carefull with online auctions.

Another ebay scam - recent white 74 2.7 US carrera on ebay supposidly in Rhode Island. Sent a note and said I wanted to come see it. I never got a response so I didn't pursue. A week letter I get a note from the "owner" that the deal fell through or he was away blah blah blah with more pictures of the car. when you open the pictures a virus try's to slip in.

Like the CC commercial. You can just see this boiler room, loaded with Russians drinking Budweiser, and trying scam americans out of their cars .....
