1987 930 - What's it worth?

I recently ran across a '87 930 with 130k miles but no maintenance records. Looks good and rides nice, no rust, no visible damage. Might be a good candidate for a project, what do you think this would be worth??? (I know I need to get it inspected for full details, I am just wondering what people think would be too good to pass up with just the info here).

Without real eyes-on or a PPI, any guess would be a bad one.

Reasonable asking price would likely place it in the $23-30K. '89 does come with a 5spd. Course, a picture is worth a thousand words.

930 forum might be better to give more precise list of things to look out for.

There are a lot of assumptions made with that kind of pricing.

I didn't want to lead the guy down the primrose path...

Well, if we don't lead him down the primrose path, who will

Agree that even a few pics of said car would help folks get a better idea of "value" of the car. On the other hand, he doesn't mention the type of "project" he's looking to do.. Maybe build a 935? drop in a V-8? Restore to showroom? Just sharing what appear to be valid numbers of asking prices for 930s.

LOL, true.

Yeah, if the car has a bunch of stuff wrong, your low number will be too high. If the thing is pristine with fresh rebuilds on the motor and tranny, your high number is too low.

Records and PPI and long test drive and, and, and...

It's really hard to make a call without more info. It's really hard to even ballpark something.
