70S value

Numbers matching, windows out repaint in original burgundy
Original sport seats recovered correctly, interior redone. Suspension restored
to high standard when painted, Motor and MFI redone mechanically and aesthetically
What's it worth?

A well restored 1970 2.2S Targa in a very nice color sold recently at Gooding for $130k plus buyer's premium. Body and paint was done to the highest standard, interior (including sport seats) showed the mildest patina, and was very inviting.

Just a WAG:

$85K if a coupe.

Subtract for undistinguished color -$5K (good period colors like Tangerine and Slate Gray can add $15-20K or so)

Conditional adjustments:

Add for flawless bodywork and paint: +$20K

Add for 'name' engine/transmission builder +$5K

Add for documented mechanical excellence (<3% variation in compression, etc.) +5K

Add for paperwork back to day 1 +$2K

Add for a binder documenting restoration +$2K

If owned by male international celebrity with car guy following: +$1,200K

The early S cars seem to be on the rise now. More rare early cars (ST, RS, R, RSR, ETC.) are in the stratosphere, benefitting all 64 to 73 cars by bootstrapping prices.
Restoration costs are now much higher than 10-20 years back, as Mahle P/C sets, and other parts are unobtanium now.
Recall purchasing 2.2 Mahle P/C set from EBS in about 1995 for $1800 or so.

Based on what I see/hear.

I'll trade you an experimental Cup Car gearbox for the car.
