Did anyone own this 911T?
I am in possession of a 1970 911T Targa, 9110110904. I am looking to try and find out any history on the car. I have old plates from Missouri 2008, 1BY 48F, last title I have was a Piel Richard V of Maryland HTS. The car has been re-sprayed burgundy at some stage, the original colour was either yellow or orange. Would anybody know this car, it's now in Australia and it would be great to hear anything about it. Thanks....

Reid Vann Porsche Mercedes Audi BMW Ferrari Service & Maintenance-Reid Vann is an independent shop in St. Louis (Maryland Heights is a suburb of St. Louis). Contact them, they service a lot of older 911's and Reid may know the car.

Does the car look like it was maintained by an ornery old german?

Thanks again. Looked this one up and can't get an email address for Klaus, if you happen to know of it I would be grateful. What would a car look like if it was maintained by an ornery old German!!?

Klaus doesn't do the internet. Everything is phone or snail mail. I would mail him a letter and see if he responds.

Ryan, I called Klaus. He has no recollection of your car. He's not very happy with me, I bought a roller from him and then didn't buy parts from him because they were too expensive. Oh well. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Try calling the Missouri DMV. Some states are surprisingly open with data they have on file. I remember calling one dmv (can't remember what state) and they gave me the whole history of the car, owner's names, and whatever records they had, over the phone, free of charge. It wasn't the complete picture of the car, but at least gave me how long it had been registered in that state, the owner(s) names, and I think what state it had come from before.
