Need help with 912 pricing
I've finally gotten around purchasing another 912 (last one I bought turned out to be unsalvageable) and hoping for some help as to pricing. The car is a 69 coupe, one owner. No body work done on it, and the seller reports original engine and transmission. No COA. The car has minimal nicks and scratched and one dime size dent. No evident corrosion at the usual sites. Can anyone help me with what would be an acceptable price to pay for this vehicle. My plan in buying it is to enjoy the car, and keep it in the family for decades to come. At some point to bring it to full resto.

Thank you. No rust in the torsion section or pan area. Minimal surface rust in the battery section. It is a numbers matching car, with an engine rebuild a few years back. The car is reported to have about 147000 miles. The interior is original. They are asking in the mid twenties.

Yep, that is where they are going. I was offered one today with a 2.7 swap in the low 20's.

With a 2.7? I don't know how that increases the value. It does increase the fun factor. |

I test drove a 69 912 that was roughly in the same condition as the one you're describing, maybe a bit better on the exterior. It sold on eBay last month for $22600.

Thanks guys. The seller does have all the records, as the car has been in the family since first sold. All original tools, books are included. The fact that the car has been preserved for the most part is what appeals to me, the mid 20's price not so much.

One owner, tools, manual, records from new? If it is as nice as it sounds they'll get mid$20's for it if they advertise it.
