356 Shell value
Anyone have good info on the estimated value of rusted 1954 356 shell? Any salvage value?

There's a rusted out shell of a '57 Speedster (minus engine) on ebay -- currently sitting over $86k.
A '55 Coupe (without engine) at $26k. It would seem any semblance of a 356 has significant salvage value primarily influenced by: - Rarity (super?) - Completeness (any rare parts left?) - Rust (just extensive vs. "folds up when you open the doors" rust) A standard '54 Coupe, with just a rusted (perforated) body shell and some limited exterior trim -- no engine/trans, gauges, or significant interior could be as little as few thousand to closer to $20k if trim and interior are reasonably intact. You would need a lot more specifics to get an opinion from those with real expertise.

These early cars are sought after in any condition. You would be surprised at what gets restored. If its just a shell it is a very good candidate for an outlaw.
