67 911 project value
i have a 67 project that has been sitting for a few years that i am considering moving on from. just too many other things come first right now and she deserves better.
she has had a rough life, at least 5 different color paint jobs and some confusing fiberglass body parts. currently status.. straight, 98% rust free tub, (just a few small spots i didn't get to), all new restoration design stampings front to back on the bottom, at some point the quarters were cut , she currently has ST 9" riveted on glass flairs front and rear. stripped interior with later model vw seats, new door and hood seals, a 1973 2.4 E engine with 150 - 160 psi, upgraded tensioners, msd/ crane ignition and an almost complete cis/megasquirt system(only needs fuel pump wiring and tuning), new clutch, 5 speed with reverse in the upper left position, 4 bbs 9x16 wheels and 2 8x 15 fake fuchs. not perfect for a restoration, but she would make a great vintage racer or weekend hotrod. also have 7 boxes of parts that came with her, gauges, blinkers, oil coolers, engine components... ![]() ![]() i know i should put just a little more time into it and sell it running but i just don't have the time... rough price ball park? anyone?

![]() ![]() a few more pics. i am just looking for a starting point for a price on the bundle, i know this is really just a collection of parts at this point. i haven't been in the 911 community for years so i have no idea where to start. i would also be very interested in a landrover series project..

Really hard to put a value on it, but I'll try: $20K.

My value estimate assumes its a 911 as stated.
Note the "911 R tribute" on eBay now (from the infamous Wayne Kreiger) is 912-based and at $95,000 Buy it Now. So there's a comp... LOL |

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/139422-cis-efi-kit.html
yep, i was tipped to the meaning of the 458*** vin yesterday, so i checked her out again.. the oil tank mounting and the lack of welds from the 912 engine mounts made me feel better, but now i have 912 gages? i thought 912s only had 3 gages... glad you guys didn't break this to me while i was still in love with her. even as a 911 i thought i would get less than 10K in this market. so, what would an good starting price be if it is a 912 project? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/139422-cis-efi-kit.html the intake is a lowcost highly tunable system with tons of online support. almost my favorite part of the project.

My sense was that it was a parts value at $20K (based on 911 VIN).
If you have a good 2.4 long block, it's $3K, a couple grand for the Megasquirt EFI setup, then my advice would have been to sell the 911 as a roller with trans. As a 912, the picture changes a bit. Still maybe $11-12K total value.

If this thing ends up being a 912 and Techweenie wants to work a deal with me on the drivetrain/mechanicals, may be worth exploring the idea of shipping it out to Los Angeles. I've been looking for an early chassis to bolt all my Carrera race car bits on to for a super street sleeper. Are the front fenders steel (other than the flares)?

thanks for the help guys, i think i am going to post it in the classifieds for $8,000 and see where it goes. i might keep the megasquirt and let the buyer choose their own induction system.
