No replys to e-mails - anything I can do different?

I often don't get replies to e-mails I send in response to CL ads. Anything I can do about it? I do put in more than 'is the car still for sale', so if they read it, they know it is not a spammer. Do I need to include a phone number?

Thanks

There is no universal answer, but in my experience, 80% or more of responses are phishing scams, so yes, putting specific information in the response is good.

But I think most of the time when you don't get a response, the car has been sold and the seller lacks the courtesy to pull the ad.

There's also a bug on CL: when you get the search response 'few local results found, here are some nearby...' that listing may include ads that have expired or been deleted. Double check to be sure the ad is still up in the geographical area referenced.

The current 'no reply' ad is still up. I have sent e-mails from two different accounts incase their spam filter is stopping them. I even contacted a Pelican member who lives around where the car is at (kind of an out of the way area), he responded, but that avenue has not produced results yet. Wait and see and keep on looking.......
