What is this 1969 911E project worth?

Hi all,

Deciding to sell, part-out or restore, so what do you think this is worth?

1969 911E Coupe
- S Calipers
- Fuchs
- 4 speed gearbox recently rebuilt + new clutch
- Numbers matching 2.0L engine, fuel injection removed, Webers installed, runs strong
- Excellent interior;seats, headliner, dash all in great condition.
- Front pan replaced

Needs:
- Rust repair: Usual places - Longitudinals, inner rockers, a few small holes in front section of floor and front wheel-wells.
- Carpet kit - original carpet has been removed

Stored dry inside for many years.

Thanks in advance!

Well, to start with, this is a numbers-matching car, so it's NOT a parts car unless the tub is completely rotted away (and yours isn't.) Yes, it's a restoration project for sure, to get the rust under control and get the car back in good condition.

The important considerations are the amount of rust, and the matching numbers. The other stuff is nice, but in consideration of what restoration work costs, they really don't affect the value much.

$38000.

Not sure why it has a 4 speed? Maybe non matching 901 unless something I don't know.

4-speed was stock in '69, 5-speed was an option. Almost all 911s had the optional 5-speed, so many people do not know this.

I think that only 911S had 5-speed standard.

This. Most US dealers were specifying 5spds even on Ts. If this was originally a Canadian car it quite possibly wasn't subject to the same marketing as a US car.

Oh lord no. Maybe a year ago. That car will do $40k, or very close to it, with ease.

Hi all, and thanks for the replies. A interesting dilemma!

Some more details re rust:

The right side longitudinal:

Left side rust is a little worse (that seems common, theories anyone?), and the front floor pan has a few small (repairable) holes, but the car runs and can be driven

Total overspray on rust...now it is back with a vengeance. I was about to buy a S a couple of months ago, but rust in critical places scares me.

But I am not a body guy.....no jokes Ronnie!

Sold complete with the MFI as well as the Webers, you have a high-$30s car in the US, potentially more in Canada. I think Eric's price is spot on.

Would a '70E be in the same price range? Just asking.

Hi all,

Please note: MFI was removed by previous owner - no MFI parts with the car. Webers run great

Still have the original fog-lights; just need new glass and internal reflector pieces.
