Low miles 3.2s for under $30k.

Sadly, this forum has been reduced to a handful of clowns pissing all over this forum.
For the rest of us, here are a few recent links to discuss and enjoy browsing the marketplace....

1986 Coupe with only 67k miles sitting unsold at $26k
Cars for Sale: 1986 Porsche 911 in New York, NY 10023: Coupe Details - 376949284 - AutoTrader.com

1988 G50 Targa with 93k miles for $29k. No buyers, only lower offers?
Porsche 911 Carrera | eBay

Some recent deals.....

SOLD: 1985 coupe with 120k miles sold for under $22k
Porsche 911 Carrera | eBay

SOLD: G50 coupe with 140k miles sold for $27k
Carerra Coupe Sunroof Air Condition 034 Daily Driver 034 | eBay

Does anyone here know if it's useful to do the asymmetrical first gear dog teeth/slider upgrade when rebuilding a 76 915?

can you believe any of the mileages of cars from this era? I think not, I am on my third car to repair broken odometers. plenty of info on here about bad plastic odo gear.
so can you really trust the claim? unless there is a clear and continuous record of service and ownership, there is no way to be sure.

Autotrader not a great venue to market a car like that, doesn't get the traffic that other selling venues get.

Targa. If it were a coupe in that condition at that price, I suspect it'd already be sold.

Nice car, great exterior color. I suspect the interior color held the bidding down some. Those really light color interiors are a love-it-or-hate-it thing. So fewer bidders than if it had been a tan or brown interior. Just a guess, but I ran into this exact scenario when I bought my car in late 2011.

Again, nice example. But a ho-hum exterior color with very non-standard interior, and no Fuchs = fewer bidders. Still, that selling price seems about right for that car today. I would have laughed at it when I was shopping 3 years back.

Precisely why autotrader.com is a great place to shop for these cars. Last year, I bought my 1984 Carrera coupe with 133k (correct mileage) for $14k. Brown with a black interior it is the perfect base for my RSR IROC clone. All it needed was a clutch which I can do for the price of the parts, but he would need to pay the dealer to perform. The guy I bought it from is not on any forums, was the second owner, and wasn't interested in doing a lot of research or work to sell it. They are still out there, but if you limit your searches to eBay and this forum, well, good luck!

The coupe is a mystery to me, but is just the kind of car you've been looking for PML, and in our backyard. Why aren't you jumping at that one?
The Targa is aggressively priced. It'll sell, but may take a while. A $30K car is a $30K car.

Those other two are 'high mileage' in my book, and were priced to sell.

Lastly, your opening sentence is no way to start a post.
BTW, my 89 Targa sold. PM me for price.

Nick

How many cars have you made offers on? Summer is in full swing and you've run out of excuses not to be looking.

Perhaps you could share what vehicles you've looked at and what the outcomes were. Utilize the expertise of the board instead of occasionally prairie dogging with inane posts.

I agree 100%. I definitely checked auto trader when I was shopping for mine.

Considering what an effin' trollbag the dude has been over the past year or so, I'd say that *at best* it's a load of alligator tears. But mostly, it's just a giant, steaming pile of male bovine excrement. Or as we like to say here in the Marketplace Forum, "Ronnies.930".

Poor, ol' PML has been severely chastened by folks reminding him that his schtick is now old, and he's recognized for the troll he is. Which is why his postings have dropped off so much.

Well, that and how smart folk are when they respond to one of his threads. Like, by posting boobs.

That would be stoopid.

Maybe you should come into the twenty first century. They are called lung hammers.

BTW, Eric. I found about 15 sub-$30k 86-89 nine-lebens on cars.com.

Would you please research all of them and post your thoughts, try to stir up some discussion so I can kick back and take it all in.

Mind you, I won't take any action base on your input. Nor will I comment. But I would like you to give me a lot of your time in exchange for nothing.

Help a brother out.

Why does he post and then never return to the scene of his crime?
