Putting the run up in perspective

Pricing info on Porsches from Hagerty's website. (today)

1985 3.2 targa - I chose this since it is what I have.

April 2014 - ------$37,700---------------------- $56,000 -------------------------------------- 17,100

% change------43% -7.5 years --------------- 55% - 7.5 years ----------------------------- 40% - 7.5 yrs

But the Dow from Mar.6, 2009 to today is up 160% from 6626 to 17,100

The other thing - If you look at the Dows chart over the last 7.5 years it looks like the peaks and valleys of the Rockies where as the 3.2 prices from Hagerty's look like an elevation chart from eastern Nebraska to the foothills of the Rockies. Nice and gradual.
Doesn't look like any bubble I have ever seen.
