What is a 964 Targa Top in good condition worth?
Any ideas? I know Dan has them on Ebay for $5000. This is in good condition and could be used right away. I have a 89 3.2 Carrera and the fitment is ok but not great. I never drive it in the rain so I have no idea if it leaks but would guess YES. Steve

They didn't make too many 964 targas, so I'd guess $1500 at a bare minimum. I kind of think that Dan puts those exorbitantly priced tops up on ebay more for advertising than anything else.

Yes, I understood the roller latch version from 87-89 is different than the roller latch 964 flavor.

I cant say what a used one is worth, but I do know that a new 964 targa top is 20k (+ or -).
I know this due to a bone head move on my part, that happened at 55 mph on the highway. Thankfully Dan P was able to fix me up with a used frame rail, and he worked with insurance company to repair what I had. Dan is the man for targa tops. Dave

I am sitting on a spare 87-89 version which was recently redone by Dan. I havent really put it up for sale because the other I have is near perfect so I leave it wrapped in the basement. If I really thought I was going get $5k for it quickly I would sell it in a heartbeat.

Flintstone, I have a 964 top on my 89 3.2 and the fit is not perfect. I have gone over 110 mph but was afraid it was going to fly off but is does, kind of, fit. I just bought a 87-89 top and will have Dan do it and will eventually want to sell the 964 TTop that is on the car now. From what I can gather, the original top was blown off in one of the hurricanes in Florida around 2005 and they used this as a replacement. It actually is in great condition. Steve
Trader220. wait long enough and it might be worth that in a few years. Who knows? GTC, I agree that Dan is using it as advertising or is waiting for an insurance claim.
