Which would be better

I'm seriously considering listing my car - It currently has a set of Sparco Evo 2's - harnesses, etc. Would I be better off listing with the old recaro stock seats - or keep it the way it is currently?

More stock looking

My guess is that unless it's a dedicated track car, advertise it with the stock seats. Your prospect will decide which way to go (perhaps take both sets of seats).

It's hard to predict what a prospect will do...

stock...no one wants to be reminded you've been beating the car at the track.

More stock look makes sense - as far as beat on the track - I'm not sure I agree with that - my car is maintained to a high standard - Part of my DE Prep

Not sure many street cars are at this standard

Sorry, no offense meant, but if you weren't driving that baby hard at the track, what's the point?

I was just saying a stock car makes people feel better.

Jeremy,

After watching you build that car and making it such an outstanding build I can only hope you have something over the top planned for your next build.

In all honesty, the car is so will documanted that I dont think it matters which seats you put in the car. You're probably going to link any listing for the car to your build thread and with all of the excellent well thought out work you put into the car, which seats it has in it is not going to make or break a sale.

No worries - I guess it just hit a chord with me. I've seen plenty of ragged street cars in my time. a more street centric vehicle would probably reach a larger audience.

Trader - my son wanted me to teach him to drive on the track - and I can assure you that it will not happen with this car - so I'm going to step back a little and find a more balanced (and less expensive to replace) car that I can ultimately have him drive - but have a really outrageous car planned for me next, stay tuned...

Your car looks great.
Buyers tend to be cynical and look for the negatives on cars.
They turn everything into a question mark. Read our threads here on cars for sale, we tend to pick them apart more than chat them up.
So anything that might give a buyer pause, should be avoided. Things that might hint to hard use, like racing seats would make many buyers think 'racing' and hard use even if the car has never been driving on a track. Feelings trump reality almost every time. So do not give a reason for buyers to question your cars past.

Jeremy... I cant think of a better reason to sell. My son is only 8 but our time in the garage with the cars and the bike is time well spent. I look forward to the day when he starts driving and riding.

I look forward to your next project. Thanks for all the fantastic content you provide to this forum.

My guess is your car should or will go to someone on this forum. IMO its probably one of the best places to sell a car like yours.

I agree with Trader. Your car is known. Which seats are in it won't matter. Just provide both sets with the sale.

My son is 27. He's owned an 87 944S since he was about 19.
He's now fixing up an 88 911, which is in my garage.
He now owns 3 cars, 2 of which are Porsches.
LOL
Watch out! Like father like son!

I've got my eye on a 944 S2 - seems about right - turbo suspension, turbo brakes, turbo transmission - a nice balanced, momentum car... we'll see. I very much appreciate everyone's opinion and contribution.

I think the more stock the wider the audience.

Switching subjects... can you shoot a photo of those gauges. Those look like you 356 style gauges - they look great! Where did you get that done?
