1977 930 value

A guy I know wants to sell his '77 Turbo.
He is the third owner.
Stock radio is gone, and had an aftermarket funky alarm,
otherwise it's unmodified.
He is asking $30k
95k miles, not running, parked since '08,
Champagne metallic # 514-9-3
Tan interior.
it is a sunroof delete car, it has the original sport seats
that have a bit of wear on the Dr.'s bolster, it's a full
leather interior (the dash has shrunk & split along the seam), steering wheel worn,
Fuchs 7 & 8" wheels, were they 16" in '77 ?
It needs paint on at least 3 panels from sunburnt clearcoat ( L.F. fender, headlight trim ring, decklid, and the decklid is peeling underneath as well.
can't see the other side too well, the garage is full of household items.
Engine looks dry underneath, all the emissions stuff seems to be intact.
Exhaust is cracked which I hear is normal
from what I could see the floorpan is in great shape.
I took pics with my phone but am not able to load them.
I know it's getting harder to find these cars unmolested.
Someone please help with opinions on value and what else to look for when ascertaining value.
Thanks.

He is going to get unindated with calls and offers. That car is tens of thousands of dollars below the market. Tell him to pull the ad and do his homework.

This is a non running vehicle. 30k is low but not tens of thousands.

With a condition 4 car at $75-80k I see no reason a car like this shouldn't sell for $50-60k, maybe even more depending on the rest of the car after discounting for the engine.

Flipper's delight: the most undervalued 930 we've seen in a while.

You always know the car being discussed is low when people with 2 and 3 digit post counts make comments. I would love to buy a car like this for $30k, but I would feel dirty.

I'm not criticizing anyone. What I am saying is that there are always a lot of people reading who don't say very much. But when a car gets them to speak up it suggests that there's blood in the water and the sharks are circling.

I had an interesting conversation at a bar recently, with a stranger, who's best friend is the original owner of a Paint to Sample 80's 930 with an engine problem.

Someone on this board offered the guy $25k for this otherwise very nice shape, still running driving car............... Ensuring him it was his "only option".

Good thing the owner knew what he had and frankly, crap like that makes it tough to be tight lipped in the board.
